Prayer always works best when I pray for others and don't demand that God answer my requests but that knowledge of his will is revealed and I be given the power to follow his will.

The scripture that comes to mind when I read this is we have been saved by grace through faith, and this is not our doing so that no man may boast. Ah the beauty of His grace as we are transformed from one degree of glory to another. The depths of His love as displayed in the gospel are immeasurable and as Paul says in Romans the power of God unto salvation. So thank you for pointing me to the gospel for it is there that I am keenly aware of my utter dependence on Him and the finished work on the cross~
